Jones Chairman reported the further request 292 of this player to be put on the transfer list & after discussion it was decided not to accede to this request. Sec'y was instructed to prepare a short official statement on behalf of the Board, for Press purposes. Press No action was taken after the reading 292 of a further letter from Mr. R. W. Prole. Gillingham Players Mr. E. Green reported that he was & no F. C. impressed with this team of fairly young men. He gave good marks to Marks (R. B.); Poole (L. B.); Boswell (R. H.); Russell (C. F.) & Briggs (I. L.). Having noted that this Club would give us an option when they were prepared to part with any of their players, it was felt that a good opportunity to study their merits would be gained by visiting them on May 5th in a match for the Benefit of Thomas Wilson, Their Captain. Scottish Players Mr. J. R. Thomson gave a good report.
