Press Asking from the minutes, the conduct of our 285 local Pressman was discussed, & upon the Chairman's suggestion, it was decided that if there was no change in their attitude, the question of travelling facilities be raised again in a fortnights time. R. who was 25, 5'9" & 11½st. Ultimately, Messrs Williams & Searle were deputed to watch the player on Saturday next with powers to £1,000, to sign him if satisfied. Lewis (B'pool) Secy' did not recommend this L. B. 284 Jones (Tranmere) Reported that the player did not wish to leave Tranmere. Lello (Shrewsbury) Noted that player was not yet for transfer. 284 McCrae 276 & Oakes 213 Mr. R. Bentham flatly turned down Oakes, but thought very highly of McCrae. He also gave a good
