[MEETING OF SUB—COMMITTEE. Goodison Park, Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1946.] Present:— Messrs W. R. Williams (Chair); E. Green and F. W. Lake. STAFF WAGES. It was agreed that the following increases be rec- ommended:- H. E. Cooke and W. Borthwick. £1 per week. G. Thompson, F. Buchanan. R. Groves, S. Simmons, and H. R. Pickering. 10/- per week. This was a considered opinion after a revision of the wages list, compared to pre-war and to players’ standards, and in view of cost of living, etc.. INSURANCES. The whole of the policies of the Company, were gone through, and many revisions in line with existing conditions, were felt necessary. These revisions are recommended. Details are minor, and the difference in the premiums might mean £10 per year to the Company, at most. The Royal Insurance Coy not to be affected by existing Insurance arrangements not to be affected. GWLADYS ST. STAND. It was agreed that Mr. Leitch’s efforts to obtain Lic- ence to repair the damage to this Stand, should be supported in any way possible to us. CLOCK. The idea of a large clock on the Bullens Rd. Stand facia, was approved. BELLEFIELD. Agreed that we should provide a full equipment at Belle- field, to enable the groundsman to cover all his needs. SELF-TRAVELLING SPRINKLER. Agreed to recommend the provision of the above machine, at a cost of £45, knowing that Chelsea, Brentford and Fulham, had proved it to be most satisfactory. DIRECTORS’ EXPENSES. To prevent any possibility of ignominy in the payment of these, it was agreed that a recommendation should be made, that in the future, each member of the Board should render an account to the Secretary at the 1st Meeting after each calendar month’s end, for those expenses incurred when travelling with our teams.
