Share of Gate £186. 4.2 Cheques were signed for:- Customs & Excise Tax £740.15.1 L'pool County F.A. Gates % £443. 8.7 L'pool F.C. Share of Gate £391.11.7 Bank Balance £2826.14.3 Cr. International Players Consensus of opinion of Messrs Green, Searle Clarke & Others 219 & Sec'y was favourable to Clarke & Sherwood (Cardiff) 226 & unfavourable towards Ford, Ahearn & T. G. Jones. Reported that Cardiff would state a price for their players as a later date, & we would be given 1st option. Childs (Wellington) Mr. W. R. Williams did not imagine this 226 player could be of any use to us, as he was 28 years & had no weight to help him. Robinson (M'bro) Mr. J. R. Thomson did not recommend this 226 R. B. who was hardly up to 1st Div. standard, yet. Langton (Blackburn) Mr. H. R. Pickering was not impressed 226 by the O. L. Southport Players Mr. R. Bentham was not enamoured of 221 Rothwell, but liked Hodgkiss who had played at C. H. Burke (Luton) 226 Sec'y reported that this C. F. had fixed up for a Club, unknown.
