C. & Sec'y. Minutes of Meeting of the 26th ultimo, were read & confirmed. Finance A cheque was signed for:- Theo. Kelly Wages & Xes. £50.0.0 Bank Balance £25,372.17.4. Dr. Match v Tranmere Directors away:- Messrs W. C. Gibbins, E. Green, G. Evans, W. R. Williams, R. R. Turnbull & R. E. Searle. Sec'y outlined the players available, & it was agreed that no risk be taken with Watson, the better to ensure his fitness for the L'pool games. Report re L'pool Res. match Mr. G. Evans gave his views of the players in this match. Football League A.G.M. Letters were read from the F.L. re our proposal & it was noted that the resolution re "F. L. representatives on the F.A." would be placed on the Agenda. It was agreed that we proceed with the proposal re "Percentage of Gates to Visiting Clubs", but withdraw the one re "Form of Competition for 1944-45" as this letter was now out of date. (See Folio 41.) Wounded Soldiers It was reported that we would be receiving an official invitation to attend a Meeting of some body or organisation, dealing with the proposed entertainment of wounded men in local Hospitals.
