Minutes of Meeting of June 28, were read
& confirmed.
Team Prospects Secy. reported the situation with regard
to our players, particularly on the physical
condition of T. G. Jones & Lowe.
Captain Lawton was appointed Captain &
Greenhalgh as his Deputy.
Match v Bury Secy. reported the position created
Sept. 16 by the selection of Anfield as venue of England
v Wales, & that this would interfere with our
League fixture. Correspondence from the League was read,
& it was agreed that the Secretary act on the
advice of the President of the Football League.
201, Walton Lane Purchase of this House for £530,
was confirmed.
F. L. War Cup Pool The Transfer Fee list as presented
to the Board, was discussed.
Lancs. F.A. Cup Chairman reported on the Meeting
at Bolton, outlining this Season's Competition.
E. Burgon Death of this Honorary Scout,
by enemy action in London was reported, Letter
from widow, of thanks for flowers & expression of
sympathy, was read from the widow.
Staff Secy. was instructed to obtain
the services of R. Groves as groundsman at a
reasonable wage.
