C., & Secy. The Chairman conveyed a message of apology from Mr. W. R. Williams for enforced absence, but it was noted with pleasure that this Director was now fairly well again. The Minutes of Meeting of the 22nd inst., were read & confirmed, as were also those of the Finance Meeting of the same date. Finance Cheques were signed for:- Customs & Excise Tax £247.3.11 Football League 2½% £10.6. 6 Tranmere Rovers F. C. Share Gate £204.8. 7 Theo Kelly Salary £83.6. 8 Bank Balance £18910.5.11 Dr. Players Benefits It was decided that an application be made to the Football League to pay amounts on account of benefit to the players on the appended & attached list. The total amount involved would be approximately £5,595. Staff Wages It was agreed that the Trainer & Groundsmen have their wages increased to their pre- war figures, viz., H. E. Cooke £8, E. Storey £6/10/- & H. Sadler £3/10/-. Practice Ground Wall Messrs Tyson's Ltd., estimate for providing a 62' x 10' brick wall to cover the existing gap, at £145, & for corrugated iron additions to a 60' length of hoarding, for a further £25, was considered & approved & it was decided that the Secretary make application for licence to have this work done.
