12 McNee (Hamilton) Mr. E. Green stated that this O. L. who was 5'5" had been completely outplayed by Carabine. Mr. H. Hart reported very well of him but could not recommend Caskie. Caskie (St. Johnstone) Secy. reported that it was likely that the Club would let this player go for £1,000. It was agreed that Messrs Green, Coffey & Evans watch him this weekend & that they be given the necessary powers, depending upon their opinion, to obtain his signature. Wardle (Southport) Mr. J. Fare was not impressed by either & Swan (Morecambe) of these players. Hulbert (Bury) Mr. T. Fleetwood reported that this O. L. had not had a good day. Gardiner (Bristol Rovers) Mr. W. J. Wallace reported this I. L. to be small & clever. He strongly recommended Smith I. L., of Clapton Orient who was big, fast & clever. Stevenson (Bacup) Mr. H. R. Pickering was not impressed by this goalkeeper & Mr. H. Lyon gave a non-committal verdict. Roberts (Rhyl) Secy. gave a promising report of this O. R. who was 23, & recommended he be seen again.
