277 [Minutes of Meeting held at Exchange Hotel, L'pool, Tuesday, April 28, 1942.] Present:- Messrs W. C. Gibbins (Chair), W. C. Cuff, Dr. C. S. Baxter, W. R. Williams & Sec'y. Minutes of Meeting held on 27th Jan'y were read & confirmed. Finance Sec'y reported that the prospects of the Financial Year ending with a credit Balance were very bright. Bank Balance £23,211.19.10 Dr. Vacancies on Sec'y formally reported the death Directorate of Mr. A. Coffey, & the Meeting stood in silence as a mark of respect. His valuable services to the Company were recorded & it was agreed that this action should be conveyed to the family. Resignation of Alderman A. Gates was read. Owing to continued ill health it was impossible for him to continue in office, & it was agreed to accept his resignation with regret.
