263 [Meeting held at Exchange Hotel, Liverpool, Monday, 5th August, 1940] Present:- Messrs W. C. Gibbins (Chair), W. C. Cuff, G. Evans, A. Gates, W. R. Williams & Secy. Minutes of Meeting of 30th July, were read & confirmed. Policy for next The Chairman reported Season his interview with the City Rating Valuer, Mr. Isaac Dixon, as a result of which we had had an assurance that the maximum Rate payment if we decided to continue playing competitive football would be £400 per annum, plus additional rating due to sublet- ting &c. Having regard to this concession, it was agreed that Goodison Park be used under the Football League anspices & that the Club run 1st & 2nd teams, thus falling into line with the general desires of the League Clubs. The Secretary was instructed to make the fixtures with convenient Clubs. Convoys, Ltd. Secy. reported that this Company was prepared to offer £500 per annum as a Rental for the use of Gwladys St. Stand as storage space. It was decided that this be accepted, failing the Secy. obtaining a more advantageous offer. Next Meeting Left to the Chairman to fix. Confirmed as correct W. C. Gibbins Chairman 29/1/41
