[Meeting held at Goodison Park, L'pool,
Thursday, 7th March, 1940.]
Present:- Messrs E. Green (Chair), W. C. Gibbins, Dr. C. S. Baxter,
G. Evans, A. Gates, J. P., W. R. Williams & Sec'y.
Minutes Minutes of Meeting of the 27th ult.,
were read & confirmed.
Finance Receipts were reported:-
Gate v South Villa £ 7. 8.8
Share of Gate v Tranmere Rovers £44.18.8
A cheque was signed:-
B. J. Steggles Taxi Hire £ 8. 8.0
Bank Balance £31658. 8. 11 Dr.
David Allen Approval was given to the suggested
arrangement that we should accept £50 for
the year ending 30th Apl. 1940 & £25 per year
during subsequent war years; this latter figure
to be subject to discussion at the request
of either party.
Football League The Chairman reported the result
Meeting of the Meeting at Leeds & the consequent circular
to the Clubs, relative to a suggested knock-
out Competition to be completed by June 8, 1940,
the date granted by the Football Association.
It was agreed that the Sec'y. inform
the League of our intention to participate, & also
that he write Preston North End F. C. to the
effect that we would be a party to the signing
of a requisition demanding a further Conference of
the Clubs, if this should be thought desirable.

Collection Permission was granted to take a collection
at a match, on behalf of the Merseyside Fund for the Blind.
