players & also S. Hamilton (O. L.) of Carlisle.
Scottish Players Mr. R. R. Coohran gave poor reports
of reid O. R., & Boyd O. L. of Dundee Nth. End.
Newport Players Mr. W. Laine was favourably impressed
by Derrick (I. R.) & Hickman (O. R.) the right wing of Newport County.
Southern Players Messrs E. Burgon & R. Kelly gave good
reports of Morris (O. L.) of Ashford, aged 18; & Brown (I. R.)
of Folkestone, aged 19, 5'9½" & 11st, but a poor verdict
about Ghost (C. H.) of Southend.
Injury to Barber Sec'y was instructed to report
referee S. Swift of Wigan, to the F.A., for
his failure to inspect the boots of a Skelmersdale
player, when requested.
F.A. Cup, 3rd Rnd. Sec'y reported that we had been drawn
away to Derby County. It was agreed, in the
went of a reply, that all seats with the exception
of the Goodison Ave. Stand be booked at 5/- & 3/6.
Use of Ground This was granted to the Dailey
Dispatch Boys Competition.
Letters of Thanks These were read from the S. F. A. &

the Red Triangle Lads Club, Workmen's Mission, & Bootte
Kiddies Xmas Treat.
Collection Request for permission to take a collection
on behalf of the Sick & Orphan Kiddies Xmas Fund was not
entertained.
C. L. Match v Aston V. The scheduled fixture for Jan'y 7th being
cancelled, due to the F.A. Cup it was decided to ask Villa
to bring forward our fixture from May 6th 1939.

Spacial Training It was agreed to send the players to Harrogate
from 18th to 24th Decr. & 1st Jany. to 7th & also
to London from 27th Decr. to 31st.
