Practice Matches It was agreed that the practice matches teams
should be considered as follows:-
August 10th:- First team v Second teams.
do 17th:- Second team defence + 'A' team attack,
versus 'A' team defence + Second team attack.
Team Selections The following teams were chosen:-
Blues:- Sagar, Cook, Greenhalgh, Mercer, Jones T. G.,
Thomson, Gillick, Bentham, Lawton, Stevenson, Boyes.
Whites:- Morton, Jackson, Jones J. E., Britton, Gee,
Milligan, Wyles, McMurray, Bell, Davies J. W., Trentham.
Captain J. R. Thomson was appointed Captain for 1938-9.
