Players to Bushey It was agreed that prior to the next Meeting of
the Board, the players to go to Bushey be confirmed to the XI
playing v Arsenal F.C. on the 1st Jan'y.
Hall (Spurs) Sec'y reported that the Club at their Meeting,
had not been fully represented & as a result, they could not
say that they were prepared to agree to the exchange suggested.
Rowley (M/c Utd.) It was also reported that by a majority,
our Directors had decided not to secure this player at
the minimum price of £3,000.
Scottish Players Mr. R. R. Cochran was not impressed by
Gillies (O. L.) of Clyde, but preferred Deakin (O. L.) of St.
Mirren who was 19, although small.
Newcastle Players Mr. W. Laine preferred Connelly
(I. L.) to Livingstone. The former was 21, 5'8" & 10½ st.
Sec'y reported that the Club were prepared to part
with him for £3,000.
F.L. Jubilee It was agreed that we approve of the
suggestion to make a presentation to the President,
Mr. C. E. Sutcliffe, at this function & that we subscribe
the suggested sum of Two Guineas.
H. Merritt (52) Confirmation was given to the signing
of this player at a wage of 35/- per week.
Letter of Thanks This was read from Mr. F. Howarth.
Chesterfield F.C. Sec'y was instructed to write & thank
this Club for the manner in which they had entertained
the members of our Central League Eleven on X-mas Day.
Players It was agreed that the Secretary
notify the players of the Directors' pleasure at the
display of the team against odds, in the match v.
Leicester on the 27th inst.
E. Sagar It was decided that this player be sent
to Mr. T. P. McMurray for a prognosis of his shoulder
trouble.
