He had a further recom- mendation about Payne & Menchester Utd. were now prepared to part with match. Jones (Sheffield Utd.) Mr. J. Fare gave very good report of this O. L. who was 18, 5'7½" & 10½ st. Silk (Southport) Mr. H. Hart gave a very poor report of this L. B. He was very impressed by the ability of Cairns, I. F. of Newcastle Utd. Jackson (Halifax) Mr. F. W. Lake could not recommend this L. B. wno shewed bad errors of judgment. McLean (Hibs) Sec'y. reported that this player could be got for £2,650 but it was ultimately decided that we had no further interest in him. Maley (Morton) Mr. R. R. Cochran stated that this F. B. had only had a very ordinary game, & that he had now discovered that he was 27 & not 24, as before mentioned. Thompson (Crawcrook) It was agreed after hearing Mr. W.
