North Eastern Players Mr. W. Laine gave a good report of Goodall
(G) of North Shields & also gave information regarding the
Heywood (Spennymoor) - Blackpool - Sunderland, negotiations.
It was agreed that with this information in his possession
the Chairman should take this matter further with the
Football League Management Committee.
Mason (3rd Lanark) Mr. R. R. Cochran again gave a good report,
but thought the player too small to be successful in F. L. circles.
Programmes Having been supplied with a report to
Dec. 31st the Board considered that the progress attained,
justified their action in taking over the sole control.
Foreign Tour (223) It was decided that consideration
be given at the next Meeting to the proffered
Danish Tour only. (233)
Two Referees System (37) Circular from the Football League was
read & after discussion, it was decided that we approve
of the League negotiating for the necessary permission
to employ this system in next seasons Practise
Matches for experimental purposes.
Use of Ground It was agreed that the Liverpool School
Association be granted the use of the ground for the morning
of the 13th Feby., provided that they were unable to
obtain alternative accommodation but applications from
the L'pool Wed'y. League & the "Daily Dispatch" Committee
were deferred consideration for one week.
Letter of Thanks These were read from the L'pool Midweek
League; the Varsity Students, the Railway Benevolent Institution;
& the Ministry of Pensions.
Player on Transfer Letter read from Fulham F. C. but no
action was taken.
