Teams v Sunderland (a) 3rd Oct. Sagar, Jackson, Cook, Britton, Gee, Mercer, Gillick, Hurel, Dean, Stevenson, Coulter. Res. Watson. v Derby County Res. (h) White, Lambert, Jones, J. E., Lindley, Jones. T. G., Thomson, Geldard, Bentham, Bell, Miller or Webster, Stein or J. V. Lewis. Res. Walkden. Miller & Stein (160 M) Burnley F. C. representatives attended & made a tentative offer of £2000, payable £750 immediately & balance in 3 payments before end of March 1937, for these players. It was decided to agree to this, Burnley F. C. to be given until midnight to ratify their offer Permission to be applied for to pay Miller £100 & Stein £150 as Accrued Share of Benefit. Notts Forest F. C. representatives made an offer of £1500 for Miller. Subject to Barnley's non - acceptance, it was agreed to allow this Club to start negotiations, with our figure reaming at £2,000.
