Richards (Notts C.) Mr. T. Kelly did not recommend this I. R. at
present, but formed a good opinion of Potter (I. L.) Northampton
who was only 22 & strongly recommended by T. Robson,
our ex-player.
Cheetham (Q. P. R.) Mr. J. H. Ford gave an encouraging report of the
& Bowl (Swindon) former but a poor one of the latter.
Holley (Barnsley) Mr. F. W. Lake gave further good reports of these
& Bell (Tranmere) players.
Crawford (Clapton) Mr. W. Laine gave a moderate report of this for-
ward who had occupied 3 positions during the match.
Smith (Dundee) Mr. R. R. Cochran was very favorable in his
remarks on this L. H.
Sherborne (Chorley) Mr. E. Cooper was uncertain of this player's
ability, due to the bad playing conditions.
Astley & Gallagher Secy. informed the Board that these
players were not for transfer.
Player's Coach Mr. Hunter Hart accepted the Office
of such, during the Board's pleasure. Decided that
his salary be increased to £6 weekly. It was
agreed that A. Clark, when not playing, should
accompany the 'A' Team & give the players the benefit
of his advice.
Player's Wages. Agreed that the Secretary should pay
players £1 per match extra when in the 1st team,
where the Football League rules permitted.
Mecca Cafe {Folio 102} (64) Suggested improvements to the Bars were
put forward by Mr. E. Green. It was decided to obtain
estimates for the work for consideration. The Secretary
mentioned that Mr. A. Coffey proposed asking for
tenders for the Catering rights & that he wished to bring
