99 Dr. & Trainer's Report Dr. W. T. Davies & Trainer Cooke reported all players fit except Coulter, Sagar, Allen & Cresswell. Teams The following teams were chosen:- v Bolton Wanderers (h) 18th inst. King, Cook, Jones, Britton, White, Mercer, Geldard, Miller, Cunliffe, Stevenson, Gillick. Res. Jackson. v Bolton Wands. Res. (a) White, Williams, Morris, Kavanagh, Gee, Thomson, Leyfield, Bentham, Dean, Dickinson, Archer. Res. Webster. It was agreed that Mr. J. Sharp see Britton & point out to him that the Board were desirous of abandoning the recent change of policy regarding the play of the centre-half. Director to Bolton Mr. J. Sharp. Smith (Millwall) & Steale (Stoke) Messrs A. Coffey, H. Hart & T. Kelly were not too enamoured of the former C. F., but all gave a good opinion of the latter who was only 19. Richards (Notts C.) Mr. H. Hart stated that this I. R. was thrustful. He was 5'6" & 11st & had had a very good 1st half but was not so good in the 2nd Bell, of Tranmere, had done little of note. Caldwell (Port Vale) Mr. J. Fare gave a very good report of this player who had played a rare game at O. L. He was 23 or 4, 5'8" & very fast. Alderson (Darlington) Mr. T. Kelly was rather impressed by the strength & ability of this I. L., a big man who looked to be about 26 years of age. Scottish Players Mr. R. R. Cochran's report was read. It was decided to ask Rangers what price they required for Smith (C. F.) Holmes (Stanley Utd.) Mr. W. Laines various & favorable reports re this O. R. were read. It was agreed that Mr. J. Fare watch this player on Saturday next & if satisfied, has powers to sign him on for £3 a week & £10 Signing on
