Reports re Players Mr. A. R. Wade reported that Cunningham (G. K.)
N. Brighton v Walsall & Lee (O. L.) were good players for Walsall.
Stoke v L'pool The Chairman gave a report of this match
& stated that Roberts J. (L'pool C. F.) had played hard
& usefully, Turner (C. H. Stoke) didn't show up to well.
Drake (Southampton) Messrs W. C. Gibbins & J. Fare gave a good reports of
the C. F. who was well worth watching again.
Blyth Players Mr. J. Fare reported that the Goalkeeper was
very promising & only 16 yrs. of age, but that Carmedy
(R. H.) & Fenwick (C. H.) were not as good as our 'A'
team players.
Swindells (Crewe) Mr. T. Kelly reported that the former
Weale do was a dashing type of player, but hardly
good enough for us and that the latter was
no better than Leyfield.
Kennedy (Burscough) Mr. T. Fleetwood stated that this player
was of no use to us.
Black (Mansfield) Secy. reported that this player was a
good left half, but rather on the small side.
Craven (Grimsby) Mr. H. Hart stated that he was pleased
with this inside lefts display v Bolton, and
that he was well worth watching. He was about
5.9 & 24 yrs. old.
Canadian Players Letter read from Sam Chedgzoy recommending
a goalkeeper & a right back. Secy. was instructed
to ask for further particulars.
