Reports re Players Dr. C. S. Baxter reported that this inside
Napier (Celtic) left gave evidence of being a good player without
playing too hard. He stated that the club would
require a large fee if they were to transfer him.
Baird (Linfield) Mr. T. Kelly gave a good report of this inside
right, but stated that the club were not prepared
to part at present. They would give us first refusal.
Gamble (Ards) Letter read from Mr. C. Watson stating that this
C. F. was a very promising player.
Wolverhampton Wdrs. Secy. reported that Clayton (I. L.) & Galley (O. L.)
had both played very well against L'pool Res.
Leedham (Accrington) T. Fleetwood gave a good report of this player.
Gandy (Saltney G. W. R.) J. Elliott reported that this O. R. was not
good enough for us.
Bradshaw (N. Brighton) Mr. F. W. Lake gave a good report of this player.
Goal D. D. Stand Mr. A. Leitch attended the meeting, and explains
the condition of the roof and also presented estimates
of the costs to new roof the stand (a copy of which
is attached. After various questions had been asked
& answered by Mr. Leitch, it was decided to discuss
the matter at the next meeting.
Marsh (T. C. I) Letter read from Secy. of this club that this
player had no intention to leave his club at present.
A. Dickinson Secy. reported that this player had now
signed on as a professional on the terms first
offered.
British League Letter read from Mr. R. H. Stead of Leeds
suggesting the formation of a league comprising
the best teams in England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland
but the Board decided not to entertain the idea.
New Brighton F.C. Letter read from Dr. T. Martlew, Chairman of
this club asking if we would be prepared to grant
them a further loan. It was decided to try
& obtain the transfer of their goalkeeper Bradshaw.
