Reports re Matches The Chairman & Mr. A. Coffey gave reports of this
Ireland v Scotland match & especially mentioned Jones C. H. of Ireland.
Jackson (Chelsea) Mr. J. Sharp reported that this player was a
class goalkeeper. Decided to ask fee required.
Kilmarnock v Secy. gave a good report of Mills (Aberdeen)
Aberdeen but stated that the club were not prepared to
part with him. Beattie I. L. (Kilmarnock) was a good
player but only about 5'-6". Williamson I. R. (Kilmarnock)
a good dribbler, but with no punch in front of goal
but that Robertson C. F. (Kilmarnock) was poor.
Bowden (Derby C.) T. Fleetwood gave a very good report of this
inside forward. Secy. instructed to make enquiry as
to the state of his health.
Johnson & Mr. J. Fare reported that the former (O. L) was
Williamson (Northwich) not good enough but that last named (R. H.)
played very well.
Storey (Bolton Wdrs.) Mr. H. Hart reported that this player gave a
good display was 5.8 & 10½ st.
Finney (Carr Mill) Mr. J. Elliott reported that this inside
forward was very promising & recommended he be
given a trial in "A" team.
Flintshire v Mr. F. Blundell gave excellent reports of
B'head Schoolboys Herron & Tyson (Right Wing) of Flintshire & Larrissey
(I. R.) of Birkenhead.
Noble (St. Bernards) Mr. R. Liddell gave a very good report of this
inside forward.
Hill (N. Shields) Mr. W. Laine gave a further good report of this
outside left, but stated he was very small.
B. Williams Enquiry received from Notts County F.C. re this
player but it was decided not to put him on offer.
Journey to Arsenal Decided to stay over on Friday night at
Brighton.
