Wales v England match at Cardiff, & stated that the England team had
shown up really well, as had John, the Welsh goalkeeper.
Reports re Players Mr. G. Evans was disappointed by this player, who
Blackman (Q.P.R) was cumbersome & had little football skill.
Chester v Tranmere Mr. T. H. McIntosh reported well of Cresswell (I.L.)
Chester, Whittam (I.R) of Chester & Dawson (L.B) Tranmere.
Shrewsbury Players Mr. J. Kelly was favorably impressed by the
& Oswestry Shrewsbury team which was young & thought Mound (C.H.)
Lloyd (O.R.) & Driscoll(I.L.) good, with Bates (R.H.) outstanding.
At Oswestry, only the play of R. J. Jones (O.L.) Oswestry was
sufficiently good to be worth following up.
Bryant (Wrexham) Mr. J. Fare thought this O.R. was strong & useful
& that Wilson (C.H.) Chester was very good.
Northwich v Congleton He also considered that there was nobody in
this match worth consideration with the exception of
Williamson (R.H.) Northwich, who had played very well.
Stubbs (Horwich) Mr. T. Fleetwood reported this F.B. to be very poor.
McDermott (Bootle Labour) Mr. J. Elliott could not recommend this I. left.
