Reports re Players Mr. J. Fare gave a good report of this player
Bell (Tranmere) & it was decided to have him seen next Sat.
Wolves Res. v Derby C. Res. He also gave a good report of Galley (I. F.) 5.9½
& young, and also stated that Bowden (Derby) was
a very useful forward.
Chester v H'pools He also gave a good report of Howe (L. B.) H'pools
& stated that Cresswell (Chester) had played well.
Beswick & Alcock Messrs T. Kelly & T. Fleetwood gave a good report
(Congleton Town)of the firstnamed who was a dashing C. F. 20, 5.8½
& the firstnamed gave a good & the latter a moderate
report of Alcock (O. L.).
Urwin (Stockport) Mr. J. Elliott reported that he was not impressed
with this C. F. who was 20 & 5'9".
Australian Team Letter read from F. A. stating there was likely
to be a visit from this team in 1935-6 & asking if we
would be prepared to play them a match. Decided
to replay that we would not be backward in
co-operation with other clubs.
Tour in S. Africa Letters read from Messrs Wheeler & Harris of the
S. African F. A. offering terms for a tour in S. Africa.
Decided to defer the consideration of same until
next meeting.
Parking of Cars The Chairman reported that he & the Secy. had
interviewed the Chief Constable who informed them
that the Parking of Cars in Stanley Park had been
discontinued, and that the cars would be allowed
to park in the streets as in the past.
