Reports re Players Mr. W. Laine reported that this C. F. had shown Dodd (Doncaster) glimpses of good play, but was not too consistent. st lb He said he was 24, 5.7½ & 11 10. Treanor (Bury) Mr. T. Fleetwood stated that this player was good, but did not think he was strong enough for 1st Div. football. Whyness (Spennymoor) Mr. W. Laine gave a further good report of this player. Benson (Blackburn R.) Mr. H. Hart reported that this player had poor ball control, but headed well. He could not recommend him however. Dickinson (Guilden Sutton) Mr. T. Fleetwood gave an excellent report of this C. F. & stated he was quite up to standard of C. L. football. Scott (L'pool) The Chairman reported that he had offered this player an engagement at £6 per week with £8 per week when playing in 1st Team. The L'pool club however would not sign the transfer forms, and he had now received a letter from the player that he had decided to retire from the game. It was agreed that should change his mind & again decide to play, that we endeavour to obtain his services.
