Director to Burnley The Chairman Mr. W. C. Gibbins.
F. A. Cup S. F. Secy. reported that the F. A. had selected the
Huddersfield Town ground for this match consequently
our match with that club would have to be postponed.
Decided to accept the suggestion made by them
that the match take place on April 25th (evening)
& apply to League Management Committee for confirmation.
T. C. F Johnson The Chairman reported that this player had
been transferred to Liverpool F. C. at a fee of £650.
It was agreed to apply to the League for permission
to pay him a sum of £468 in lieu of accrued
share of benefit.
Reports re Players Mr. H. Hart reported that this O. R. was a
Griffiths (Southport) straight forward type of player & very fast. He had
played well in first 20 minutes, but was patchy
afterwards.
Reeday (Darwen) Mr. T. Fleetwood stated that this player had
not done nearly as well as the previous week.
He had ascertained he was 24 yrs. of age.
Thompson Mr. J. Elliott reported that this C. F. was
(Lovell & Christmas F. C.) of no use to us.
Barnsley Players Mr. F. W. Lake reported that Blight was Fair,
Smith (I. R.) & Shotton (L. B.) Ellis (G. R.) were impressive
& Reed (R. H. B) of Walsall a halfback of possibilities.
Ground Repairs Mr. E. Green gave a report of his inspection
of the proposed repair & alterations. It was
agreed to have the wire guards for Goodison Rd.
Standard made & fixed by W. Flannagan & Son at
a cost of £9.6.0. He advised that the reminder
of the work be inspected by a deputation of the
Board & it was decided that those Directors
attending the home match on Saty. next should
do this.
