Green reported that this inside forward was Match (Arbroath) not up to standard required for 1st Divn. football. Griffiths (Southport) Mr. T. Kelly stated that this player was about 22, 5'9" & 11th very fast & strong & some what similar style of player to Turner. Barnsley v Tranmere Mr. F. Blundell reported that the following were good players:- Shotton (L. B.), Smith (I. R.) & Blight (C. F.) & Bell (C. F.) Tranmere but Pennington (I. L.) & Tranmere was poor. Reeday (Darwen) Mr. T. Fleetwood reported that this Left Back was a very promising player indeed & well worth following up. Jones (Wrexham) Mr. H. Hart reported that this C. F. was young & very promising 5'8" & about 19.
