Reports re Players Mr. E. Green reported that this inside right was
Molloy (Shamrock about 5'.6" & not quite 10 St - Was not fast enough
Rovers) and could not recommend him.
Webster (Shelbourne) He gave a good report of this goalkeeper.
Eggleston (Bury) Mr. J. Sharp reported that Mr. Coffey & himself
considered that this player was not good enough
for us.
Batey (Carlisle) Mr. A. R. Wade stated that this player was not
good enough. He had played in a full back position.
Major (N. Brighton) He reported however that this man was a
very promising C. H. B.
Coleman (Arsenal) Secy. reported that the Arsenal F. C. were
prepared to part with this player at a fee of £5500.
Decided he be seen play.
Beresford (A. V.) Mr. H. Hart reported that this player had played
hard & well against Chesterfield. Mr. T. Kelly also
reported that he had played fairly well against
L'pool but adopted the W. formation. Did not think
he was as good as Dix who had played very well.
Heale (Bristol C.) Secy. stated that he did not consider this forward
good enough for us at present. He passed well &
was a fair dribbler, but shirked a tackle & was
never up in the penalty area. The club had been
offered a fee of £3000. Decided to take no further
action.
Malam (Chesterfield) Mr. H. Hart reported that this inside forward
was outstanding against Aston Villa, good ball
control & a schemer. He was only about 5'.4" or 5".
Goulden (W. Ham) He also reported that this inside forward
was small, but he could not pass a definite
opinion owing to frozen state of the ground.
