Fleming & Stevenson Secy. reported that owing to the fog, he
(Rangers) was unable to see much of the game, but so far
as he could see. The latter was a good niffy player
but only 5-5 young & well built. He had been
informed that Fleming was not likely to lead
Scotland, being at the University. The fee fixed
by the Club was £2750 for Stevenson. Decided
that Messrs E. Green & A. Coffey watch him again on
Sat. next & if satisfied with his display, to
negotiate for his transfer.
Gallacher Secy. reported that with the Chairman's
(Chelsea) consent, he had made an offer for this player's
transfer which they (Chelsea F.C.) £4000 had accepted,
but the negotiations with the player had broken
down. It was decided by a majority that
negotiations be not continued, but Dr. C. S. Baxter gave
notice of motion to bring the matter up again at
next meeting.
Ware (Stoke City) Mr. T. Kelly reported that this player had
not played too well on Sat. last.
Eggleston (Bury) Mr. J. Fare stated that this inside left looked
like a good player, but had no shot. He was
25, 5-9½ & 11 st.
Stanger (Workington) Mr. H. Hart reported that this O. R. had done
nothing to recommend him, was somewhat slow.
Whyness (Spennymoor) Mr. W. Laine gave another good report of this
player.
Blackman (QPR) Messrs A. R. Wade & T. Kelly gave a good report
of this C. F. who had scored all 4 goals v N. Brighton.
Cup Tie Tickets Secy. reported that he had asked the Tottenham
v Tottenham Hotspur F.C. to let us have 1000 tickets at 5/-
They were sending us 20 Compy. Tickets for
the Directors Box & 30 for the Stand.
