Reports re Players The Chairman reported that this player had
Dix (Aston Villa) played well, but did not do too much shooting.
Secy. stated that the Club would not part with
him.
Alsop (Walsall) Mr. E. Green reported that this C. F. was 5'8" or 9" & 11½ st.
played a rushing game & could not recommend him on
that account, but should be seen again. Mr. A. R. Wade
thought he passed well to the wings & was a useful
type. He also thought he should be seen again.
Heale (Bristol City) Mr. T. Kelly reported that this I. L. played very
well for the first 20 mins., but faded away afterwards.
Was 20 yrs of age & 5-9½.
Accrington v Scunthorpe Mr. H. Hart reported there was no player in this
match of any use to us.
Barclay (Sheffield U.) He also reported that this man had played
in 1st team & consequently had not seen him.
Shaw (N. W. Rubber Co.) Mr. J. Fare reported that this O. L. was not of
the standard required by us.
Eggleston (Bury) Mr. F. W. Lake reported that this player had
played a good game, quick, good control, can shoot
& fairly useful with his head. Recommends the
Board to have a look at him.
Fitzgerald (Denaby) Mr. G. Cooper reported that this player was
very useful, but rather on slow side. Thought
he would make a better halfback.
