[Meeting of Directors held at
Exchange Hotel, Liverpool on
Wednesday 27th Sept. 1933.]
Present Mr. W. C. Cuff (Chair) & all other Directors.
Tour to South Cablegram received S. African F. A.
Africa offering us to play 13 matches in S. Africa.
To leave England on 11th May 1933 & return here
on 31st July 1933. All expenses in connection
with same to be paid by the S. African F. A.
Secy. was instructed to enquire from the Players
if they would be prepared to undertake the
journey and the matter to be further considered
on receipt of their reply.
Team Selection The following team was selected
v L'pool Res. (h) 30th inst.
Deighton, Common, Bocking, Mercer, Clark, Archer,
Critchley, Birtley, Lapham, McGourty & Turner. Res. Cunliffe.
Williams was selected Reserve for 1st Team at L'pool.
F. A. Charity Shield It was decided to have a Luncheon at the
Match Exchange Hotel on 18th prox. at 1 pm and to
note certain members of the F. A. the C. L. Management
Committee the Arsenal F. C. Directors, Chairman, Vice
Chairman & Secy. of L'pool F. C. & the Lord Mayor too
attend & each Director be allowed to entertain
two friends.
Presentation to The Chairman in making the presentation
Mr. A. Coffey of a Silver Tray & Coffee Jug suitably inscribed
to celebrate the completion of 21 years Service
as a Director congratulated him & thanked him
for the excellent services he had given to the
Club. Mr. Coffey suitably returned thanks.
