Reports re Players Mr. J. Fare reported that this inside left had
Craven (Grimsby) played a very nice game & would he a good man
in a good line of forwards.
Accrington Stanley} Secy. gave a good report of Meek (I. R.)
v Gateshead} and also of Neilson (R. H.) of Gateshead.
Bury v Port Vale Mr. T. Kelly gave a very good report of
Tabram (C. H.), Port Vale & stated that Guan (I. F.)
of Port Vale & Vernon (Bury) were very useful
players.
N. E. Players Mr. W. Laine reported was read. It was decided
that in future the Secy. deal with all his reports
& when necessary give his opinions of any player
he thinks ought to be looked at by a member of
the Board or Staff.
Chambers (Halifax) Mr. J. Fare reported that this player
seemed to be unsound.
Practice Match} Letter read from the F. A. agreeing to our
Receipts} request to postpone the allocation until after
receipts from the F. A. Charity Shield match had
been ascertained.
W. Low Benefit Match Letter read from N'cle United F. C. that they
accepted the offer of Gee for this match. It was
agreed to let them have the services of McGourty
instead, if agreeable.
Webster (Shelbourne) Letter read from Mr. Val Harris recommending
this goalkeeper.
