F.A. Cup Semi-Final Secy reported that we had been drawn against
West Ham United at Wolverhampton on 18th inst. and
if a replay, at Birmingham.
It was decided that each Director & Secy be
allowed to entertain 6 friends to the match & to
provide Luncheon & Tea at Wolverhampton & Dinner
on return at L'pool at N. Western Hotel.
Special Training It was agreed to take the following players
to Buxton on Monday 13th inst until Sat 18th inst
Sagar, Cook, Cresswell, Williams, Britton, White,
Thomson, Gee, Geldard, Critchley, Dean, Dunn,
Johnson & Stein with Trainer & Secy Mr. J. Sharp
to accompany the party & Dr Baxter to follow later
in week.
League match v Owing to the Cup Semifinal this match
N'cle United had been postponed & it was left to Chairman
& Secy to arrange a new date, after consultation
with President of Football League.
C.L. Matches v Secy reported that he had asked these
Bolton W. & Derby C clubs to suggest new dates for these postponed
matches.
Reports re Players Mr J. Fare reported that this player was
Cowan (Raith Rovers) 24, built like Gallacher of Chelsea, but possibly a
little taller & played in similar style. He however
stated that in his opinion the player was suffering
from an injury. Secy was instructed to enquire
what transfer fee the club required & also as
to his physical fitness.
Cunningham Mr H Hart reported that this player had
(Barnsley) scored 2 goals v Rotherham U, but was no good
for us.

Cumbrian Players He also reported that O'Connor (G.K.) was very
poor. Fitzsimmon's (RH) had good football ideas
but was frail, 17 yrs old, & Fowler (21 OR) also very poor
