Holdcroft & Secy reported that Preston N.E. had made
Lowe enquiries re Transfer of these two players. It was
decided to fix a fee of £1000 each. A deputation
from that club attended, and after discussion it
was agreed to accept £1800 for the two players,
amount to be paid at the rate of £150 after every
1st team home match from date of transfer.
It was agreed that in the event of these
players being transferred. Common would be
right back & Bocking left back with Coggins (goal)
in Res Team for match v Oldham Res.
Reports re Players Mr E Green reported that this player was 19
Martin (Belfast Celtic) passed very well but could not say too much about
his positional play. He should be borne in mind.
Johnson & Gray Messrs A Coffey & W C Gibbins gave similar reports
(Oldham) re the former as last week, but gave very good
reports of the latter. Decided they be seen again.
Hurst (Exeter City) Mr Geo Evans gave a poor report of this player.
Wrexham & Brighton Mr J Fare reported that none of the players
in this replayed FA Cup tie were good enough for us.
Tranmere v Bristol) The deputation at this Cup tie stated that
City) the only player who showed good form was Brinton
(LH.) Bristol City.
Symon & Morgan Mr H Hart reported that the former had
(Dundee) played poorly in 1st half, but very well in 2nd half.
The latter had played very well indeed.
Collins (Gillingham) Mr H Ford gave a moderate report of this
C.H.B. Secy stated he had signed for Millwall
10 Seasons ago.
Watson (Blyth) Mr J Fare reported that he had been unable
to sign this player on.
Brentford Players Mr W J Wallace gave & good report of
Holliday, Allen & Scott of this club.
