Reports re Players Mr E Green reported that a gale of wind made
Martin (Belfast Celtic) the game a farce but thought this CF had
better be seen again.
Walker (St Mirren) The Secy & H Hart reported that in their
opinion this C.H.B. was not good enough for
English 1st Divn football.
Notts Forest Players Mr J Fare stated that he did not consider
any of these players good enough for us.
Johnson (Oldham) Mr T. Kelly reported that this player had
only had about one decent pass from his colleagues
but with it he showed good control & scored a splendid
goal.
Hall (Notts Co) He also stated that this Inside Forward
who was short but steady had played a very
good game.
A & H Bridges Mr W Laine gave another good report of these
(Bedlington U) backs especially the left one who was 20, 5'9" & 11½ st
McGonagle (Celtic) Secy reported that Mr W. Maley had informed
him that they were likely to part with this back
& had had asked him for particulars & price.
Scottish Juniors Mr A Hair reported that Meikle (CH.) and
Robertson (RH) of Camelon Jn & Currie (CH) & Burns
(IL) Cambuslang Rangers were good players, also a letter had been
received recommending the CH. Duntocher Hibs
Goslin (Bolton Wdrs) The Directors present at our match on Sat
last gave a very good report of this player
but Secy stated that the Club were not keen
to part except at a big fee. They however
were prepared to transfer T. Griffiths to us at
£5,500. He was instructed to ask the fee required
for Goslin
