Scotland v Wales stating that the Welsh team had played very
well indeed.
Geldard (Bradford) Mr E Green reported that this player had done
sufficient good things to make him think he would
do us some good. Mr J Sharp also reported that he
was much impressed. It was decided to make a
firm offer of £2000 for his transfer.
Sharp (Tunbridge Wells) Messrs A. Coffey & Dr C S Baxter reported that in
their opinion this half back was not good enough.
Nelson (Preston) Messrs J Sharp & Secy stated they did not consider
this CHB good enough for us was slow & played
as a third back. Mr A. R. wade thought he was
fairly good.
Walker (St Mirren) The Chairman reported that from enquiries he
had made in Scotland, he did not think this
player would suit us, Secy stated that he was
not impressed with his display.

was not up to standard required.
Crook (Wolves) Mr J Fare stated that this OR had played
a fair game but was not outstanding, about 25 or
26 yrs. 5'-6" & sturdily built.
Gordon (Rochdale) Mr T Fleetwood reported that this players had
not played as well as last time he saw him.
Jackson (Wellington) Mr H Hart gave a good report of this RHB.
was 19, 5'- 8" & very promising indeed.
O'Grady (Leeds U) Mr J Fare reported that this IR had played
a good game v Wolves.
