Welsh (St Johnstone)	Secy reported that he had heard that this
		player was a good back.

Balmer (Collegiate OB) 	Mr J McGill gave a good report of this C.F. and
		it was suggested he be given a trial in A team.

Tolley (Chester)	Mr T Kelly gave a fairly good report of this
		OR.

Halliday (D'ton)	Mr W Laine gave a good report of this half
		back & stated that the club were prepared to
		negotiate for his transfer. It was decided however
		to take no action.

York City Players	He also gave a very good report of Spooner
		(OL) a good report of Fenoughty (IF) & a fair report
		of Baines (CF)

Lancs Cup		Secy reported that we had been drawn
		v Preston NE at home & had fixed Oct 19th as
		the date & this was confirmed.

Gaumont Picture Co.	Letter read from this firm stating they
		would make their arrangements later on for taking
		the film.

Donations		Agreed to purchase 40 tickets a 3/6 for
		the Southern Murmur's Concert and to give a
		donation of £10 to the Whiston F.C.
			Applications from Chilton Colliery F.C. and
		Crewe Alexandra F.C. were not entertained.

Naylor (N'cle)		An application from this player for an
		engagement was not entertained.

Journeys to		It was decided to travel to Derby on the
Derby & Leicester) morning of match & have lunch at Crewe,
		and to stay overnight at Nottingham for match
		at Leicester.

Players for Transfer	Letters were read from several clubs re P. Griffiths
		& Chedgzoy. Decided that Chairman be empowered
		to accept best offers he could get for these players
		& McClure.
