Weale (Crewe) Mr W C Gibbins reported that this player had
done very well at outside left. Decided to enquire
if club would part & fee required.
Taylor (Bristol City) Mr J Fare reported that this LB had played
quite a good game considering the state of the ground
which was icebound. Age about 27 or 28, 5'10" 11½ st
Benvie (Arbroath) Mr A Hair gave a very poor report of the
Archibald (Raith R) former and a very good one of the latter
Jones (Ellesmere Port) Mr T Fleetwood gave an excellent report
of this left back who was 18½ yrs old, 5 8½ & 11st.
Secy was instructed to approach the club with
a view to his having trials with us.
Meek (Gateshead) Mr A R Wade reported that he was not
suited with this player who was too small.
Kennedy inside left had played well.
Lambert (Northwich) Mr J Elliott reported that this player had
played out of his position at half back, but that
he had done well.
T. P. Griffiths Secy reported that this player had been
transferred to Bolton Wdrs for £6,500, the fee to
be paid as follows:- £2500 on 1st Jany 1932, £2500
by end of present season & balce of £1500 after their
first home match next Season. He had applied
to the League for permission to pay him a Sum in
lieu of benefit of £650. Same was approved.
A Team Ground The Deputation appointed to interview the Marine
FC (Messrs E Green, W C Gibbins & Secy) with a view to our
Subletting their ground for our A team next Season
gave a report of their negotiations and recommended
that we agree to take it at £100 for the year.
The details of tenancy were also given, and it was
decided that Mr W C Cuff draw up an agreement to
be submitted to the Marine F.C.
