Reports re players Mr J. Fare gave another good report of this OR
Weale (Crewe) whom he stated would quickly develop & was well
worth following up.
Meek (Gateshead) He also reported that he was not as satisfied
with this player as the last time he saw him
but was a good player.
Luton Players Mr T. Fleetwood gave good reports of Fraser (LH)
Tait (IF), Fraser (LH) & Turner (OL).
Proudfoot (Barnsley) Mr J. Elliott reported that Proudfoot (IR) had
Jones (Burnley) played well, was about 5'7" & well built and that Jones
did not play well.
Jones (Ellesmere Port) Mr W. Clarkson gave a fairly good report of this
left back, who was 17, 5'9" & 11 st.
Blyth Players Mr W. Laine reported that Wilson (RH) did not
play, Bunch was a good player but small.
Loud Speaker It was decided to install this, as per Messrs
Pulford Bros estimate No. 3 at a cost of £695
all but Mr C Hayes voting for same.
Lift Further revised estimates were received from
Messrs A. Leitch & partners as follows:-
Midway Lift Co Ld £452 plus approximate cost of
Stalworth £120, Waygood Otis Ld £455 plus
£120. It was decided that as the work would
take at least 9 weeks, defer the matter
at present.
Terracing Estimates were received for the concreting
& cementing of the terracing & these were
left in the hands of the ground committee
to go into and report.
