England V Spain Secy reported that Gee, Dean & Johnson had
been selected to play in this match on 9th inst with
Clark as Reserve. It was decided that Messrs J. Sharp
& Secy represent the club & that Secy take the 4 players
mentioned together with White up to London.
Ireland v Wales Secy also reported that T. Griffiths had been
selected to play for Wales on 5th inst. Decided to grant
the player's release to do so.
Reports re Players The Chairman reported that Kingham had played
Luton Players well with plenty of room but he was not impressed with
him at close quarters. He also reported that Fraser (L.H.)
6'0", Tait (I.L.) 5'9" & Turner (O.L.) 5'10" had played well
and should be seen again.
Robbins (Cardiff) Mr E. Green reported that he did not care for
this player, had not enough craft.
Weale (Crewe) Mr W. C. Gibbins reported that this player had
again played outside right. He was sturdy, used both
feet & was a good player.
Cowdenbeath Players Secy reported that none of these players were
good enough for us except Stewart (O.L.) who was
19, 5'6" & 9st 7th and a very promising player.
Napier (Celtic) He also gave a good report of this inside left
who was 5'8½", 11st, but stated that the club were
not prepared to consider his transfer at present.
Dewar (3rd Lanark) Mr. J. Fare reported that the former (C.F.) was
Tolland (Ayr U.) 5'11" & 11½ st a close dribbler, fairly fast, but did
not distribute the ball & was poor with his head
& that the latter was not good enough for us.
Dale (Kilwinning R) Mr A. Hair gave another good report of this
C.F. who was 19 or 20, 5'7" & 11st.
