Reports re Players Mr E. Green reported that this player had played
Kingham (Luton) well & kicked with good judgment. He suggested he
be seen again. He was about 5'9".
Meek (Gateshead) Mr A. Coffey reported that this player was small
& did very little. He was not impressed.
Hammond (Fulham) Mr J. Sharp reported that he did not consider
this player as good as he was two years ago. He
played very poorly & was bad with his head.
Weale (Crewe) Mr J. Fare again gave a good report of this
player who had played outside right. He was 19,
5'8" & just over 10 st.
Little (Spennymoor) Mr W. Laine gave a further good report of this
left back.
Liddle (E. Fife) Mr A. Hair gave a good report of this O.L.
Darwen Backs Mr T. Fleetwood reported the former were poor
Chatburn (Clitheroe) but that the latter had played well.
Boyle (Mossley) Mr J. Elliott reported that he did not
consider this back of any use to us.
Cheshire v L'pool County Mr W. Clarkson gave a poor report of Farmer
(F.B.) a fairly good report of Emerson (R.H.) both of
L'pool but a very good report of Lawrence (I.R.) Ches.
Robbins (Cardiff) The Directors present at international match gave
a good account of this player. Letter read from
Cardiff City FC that the fee required would be
£6000.
Jones (Burnley) Mr T. Kelly gave a poor report of this player.
Exeter City FC Letter read from this Club offering £250 for
Common. Decided not to accept less than £500.
Sunderland FC Letter read that they were not prepared to
pay the price asked.
Cowdenbeath FC Letter read that this club would be prepared
to part with any of their players.
Zurich FC Letter read from this club asking if we
would be prepared to play two matches in June.
