Reports re Players Mr E. Green reported that this player had given
Meek (Gateshead) a very promising display on Sat. last & Mr W Laine
also gave another good report of him.
Wales v Scotland Mr W. C. Gibbins reported that the Welsh team
was very moderate, but that Blair, McPhail &
Morton had played very well for Scotland.
Lawrence (Hoylake U.) Mr J. Fare reported that this player was very
clever, but was only about 16½ yrs. of age, 5'4" & 9st
Decided that we endeavour to get him to play
in our A team.
Liddle (EFP) Letter read from Club re this outside left, but
no action taken.
Port Vale FC Letter read from this club re transfer of their
players. Secy had asked price for Oakes, but was
asked if we would make an offer. Decided not to
do so.
Queens Park Rangers Letter read asking if we would part with
FC Britton & Griffiths T. Decided to offer the former
at £1500 with power to accept £1000.
Kilhourhy (Wigan Boro.) The Chairman reported that an offer had
been made to the League by another club of £500
for this player's transfer. Decided not to go
beyond the amount agreed upon at last meeting.
