Reports re Players Mr E Green reported that he could not recommend
Chester Players Bennett but gave good reports of Hedley, Keeley
& Cresswell.
Hamilton (Rangers) He also gave a moderate report of this
left back.
Walsall v Chester Mr J Fare gave a fairly good report of Hunter
(RB. Walsall) a poor report of Bennett (RB) & Hedley (OL)
Keeley did not last out the game & that Cresswell
played good football but was poor in front of
goal (all of Chester).
Mather (Horwich) Mr T Fleetwood gave a poor report of this
player stating that he was too small for us.
Ashton National Mr J Elliott gave good reports of Cawley
Players (RH), Percival (IR) & Lythgoe (CF). Mr J Fare,
also gave a good report of the two former.
Reed (Spennymoor) Mr W Laine gave another good report of
this player. Decided that Mr J Fare watch him
play again on Wed. next with powers to sign
him on up to a fee of £250.
Entertainment Tax Secy gave an approximate estimate of the
additional amount of this tax. Decided that
we bear this in future.
Turnstiles The Secy's report on the re-arrangement
of the turnstiles was approved.
Cresswell The Chairman reported that this player
had spoken to him re expenses v Sunderland
and his action is agreeing to pay him for his
tea & lunch was approved.
