Entertainment Tax Secy was instructed to take out a statement
of the additional tax to be paid on 1st & 2nd team gates
Reports re Players Mr E Green reported that he was not
Bennett, Hedley sufficiently impressed to be able to recommend
& Keeley (Chester) the forms, Hedley (OL) had played very well &
Keeley (HB) was very promising indeed.
Dugmore (Kidderminster) Mr J Fare reported that this inside forward
was no better than when with our A team and
could not recommend him.
Oliver & Harvey He also reported that the former was poor
(Hereford United) & that the latter (a CH) was crude, but young & big
but very promising.
Wigan Boro v Lincoln Mr. T. Kelly reported that he did not consider
any of these players of standard required by us,
except that Hall (CF) had played a useful game.
Stoke Reserves Secy reported that McDaid (IF) & Taylor
(OR) were very fair players.
Mather (Horwich) Mr J McGill gave a good report of this I. L.
Age 19. Ht 5' 8" Wt 11-0.
Tranmere Rovers Messrs E Green & Secy that they did not consider
v Southport any of these players good enough for us except
possibly Urmston (O.L. of Tranmere).
Hunter (Walsall) Mr H Cook gave a good report of this R.B.
Reed (Spennymoor) Mr W Laine gave another very good report
of these C.F. whom he thought would develop into
an excellent player.
Hamilton (Rangers) Secy stated that he had heard there was
a possibility of the Rangers FC parting with
this full back.
McGovern It was decided to give this inside right a
months trial.
