Committee Meeting held Tuesday August 25th 1891

Present		J. Houlding Esq. (in the chair) Messrs Jackson, Williams, Nisbet,
		Coates, Ramsay, Wilson, Clayton, Dr. Baxter & the Secretary.

Minutes		of last Meeting read & confirmed.

A. Maxwell	The Secretary reported that the Accrington Club, would give
		this player his transfer on our paying them £30. Resolved that
		Elliott proceed to Scotland & bring back Maxwell in
		time for next Committee Meeting.

Special Meeting	Resolved that a Special Com. Meeting be called for
		Thursday next at 8-30 to consider Mr. Orrel's offer to
		sell land adjoining Football Field & that the Com.
		hold their weekly meeting next week on Tuesday after
		the Bootle match.

Doyle & Brady	Resolved that the Secretary take steps (through Mr. Lythgoe)
		to place the facts re these players before the Football Ass.
		at their next Meeting.

Letters		Resolved that the applications of Jolliffe, Dobson & Military
		Band be not entertained.

J. Holt		This player appeared & asked for his release from the Club.
		Resolved that Holt be kept to the terms of his agreement.

Capn. & Sub Capn. Resolved that J. Holt be elected Capn. of League team &
of League Team	A. Latta sub Captain.
EVENTS
18 Standen Whiteside Linaker was considered for membership of the Club.
39 It was agreed to pay £10.00 to F Geary as a wedding present.
43 It was agreed that the Combination Team should be offered 2 guineas and a gold medal each if they got the championship.
51 Resolved that the silver medals to Everton Team from the previous season should be presented on 24 Oct.
72 Gordon appeared before the Committee and promised to abstain from drink in the future.
74 Call on players “to pay strict and special attention to training … and not to go skating on the ice.”
98 Resolved that a turnstile book be kept.
107 Resolved that 13 medals be purchased @ 24/- from Vaughton’s
112 Fred Geary was asked to look for employment outside a public house
