Committee Meeting held Monday August 10th 1891

Present		W. Jackson Esq. (in the chair) Messrs Atkinson, Ramsay, Clayton,
		Currier, Nisbet, Wilson, Howarth, Houlding, Dr. Baxter & the Sec.

Minutes		of previous meeting read & confirmed.

D. Doyle	The Sec read a Telegram from Doyle "Playing here on Monday night
		certain" & it was resolved that the case be submitted to A. G. Steel
		as previously arranged.
		
		Resolved that in case Doyle & Brady play in Scotland, the Secretary
		report the case to the League.

J. A. Angus	General regret was expressed at the sad news of Angus death & it
		was resolved that Mr. Currier & the Secretary go to Scotland and
		attend his funeral, taking with them a wreath.

New Player	Resolved that Mr. Currier & the Secretary be empowered to engage a
		full Back.

Bill Posting 	Resolved that as R. A. Jackson will not pay the amount asked
		for adv. on hoarding that the Secretary communicate with other
		contractors.

Com. Ticket	Resolved that we give Mr. Jones (re Kelso) a Complimentary
		Ticket.

Practice	Resolved that the players start Practice next week & that
		Mr. Wilson be empowered to get a Practice Ground on the
		best possible terms.
EVENTS
18 Standen Whiteside Linaker was considered for membership of the Club.
39 It was agreed to pay £10.00 to F Geary as a wedding present.
43 It was agreed that the Combination Team should be offered 2 guineas and a gold medal each if they got the championship.
51 Resolved that the silver medals to Everton Team from the previous season should be presented on 24 Oct.
72 Gordon appeared before the Committee and promised to abstain from drink in the future.
74 Call on players “to pay strict and special attention to training … and not to go skating on the ice.”
98 Resolved that a turnstile book be kept.
107 Resolved that 13 medals be purchased @ 24/- from Vaughton’s
112 Fred Geary was asked to look for employment outside a public house
