Special Committee Meeting held Thursday July 30th 1891

Present		J. Houlding Esq. (in the chair) Messrs Barclay, Coates, Howarth,
		Jackson, Nisbet, Currier, Clayton & the Secretary.

Doyle		The Secretary read a letter from this player saying that he did
		not intend to come back to Everton. It was resolved that
		Mr. Howarth & the Secretary go to Scotland to try & induce Doyle
		to carry out his agreement. The deputation to have a freehand
		so as to make the best possible terms with Doyle.

N. J. Ross	Resolved that Mr. Currier & the Secretary go to Preston & see Mr.
		Sudell & that they be empowered to offer £50 for the release
		of N. J. Ross to play with us.

Special Com. Meeting held Tuesday August 4th 1891

		Williams, Currier, Howarth, Nisbet, Jackson, Atkinson, Ramsay,
		Clayton & the Secretary.

Re Doyle	Mr. Howarth gave report & stated the terms upon which
		Doyle had promised to return, after considerable discussion
		it was resolved that Mr. Howarth wire to Doyle & ask him to
		attend before the Committee as soon as possible & that another
		meeting be called in accordance with the reply.

18 Standen Whiteside Linaker was considered for membership of the Club.
39 It was agreed to pay £10.00 to F Geary as a wedding present.
43 It was agreed that the Combination Team should be offered 2 guineas and a gold medal each if they got the championship.
51 Resolved that the silver medals to Everton Team from the previous season should be presented on 24 Oct.
72 Gordon appeared before the Committee and promised to abstain from drink in the future.
74 Call on players “to pay strict and special attention to training … and not to go skating on the ice.”
98 Resolved that a turnstile book be kept.
107 Resolved that 13 medals be purchased @ 24/- from Vaughton’s
112 Fred Geary was asked to look for employment outside a public house
