Reports re Players Messrs The Chairman & J. Sharp reported that
Miles (Watford) they did not consider either of these players of
& Hammond (Fulham) the standard required by us.
Cann (Torquay) Mr. E. Green reported that the former did not
& Bradford (Walsall) play through injury, but gave a fair report of the
latter & recommended he be seen again.
Boston (W. Bromwich) Messrs A. R. Wade, H. Banks & W. C. Gibbins gave a very
good report pf this outside right.
Griffiths (Port Vale) Messrs A. Coffey & Secy. reported that on his form
on Sat. last this player was not good enough.
Rowley (S'hampton) Chairman reported he was making enquiries
as to the possibility of the club releasing this player.
Bradshaw (Bury) Secy. was instructed to make similar enquiries
as to this player.
Rochdale v Stockport Mr. J. Fare reported that Oliver & Brown (Rochdale)
were not good enough, but he spoke very favorably
of Lynch (G.K. Rochdale) & Gee (C.H. of Stockport C.).
Cape (Carlisle) Messrs J. Elliott & T. Fleetwood gave very good
reports of this outside right.
Crayston (Barrow) Mr. J. McGill gave a very good report of
this C.H.B.
Tutin (Consett) Mr. W. Laine reported that this half back was
a very sturdy player, but hardly up to standard
required by us.
Thomson (Dundee) Mr. J. Weir gave a good report of this half back.
Macpherson (Rangers) Secy. reported there was a probability of the
club parting with this forward.
