ask them to let us know their decision at once
and if satisfactory it was agreed that Messrs A. Coffey
& J. Sharp proceed at once to endeavour to secure
his transfer.
Reports re Players Mr. E. Green gave a poor report of this
Clarke (3rd Lanark) player.
Fielding (Stockport) Messrs W. J. Sawyer & A. R. Wade gave a good report
of this player. Secy. to enquire of club would part
with him.
Griffiths (Port Vale) Mr. J. Fare gave a very good report of this
player. Secy. to enquire if club would part with him.
Eden & Wrightson Mr. W. C. Gibbins gave an unfavorable report
Dton. of these players.
Briggs (B'gham) Mr. J. Elliott gave a very good report of
this forward.
Halsall (Bootle Celtic) Mr. J. McGill gave another good report
of this half back & it was decided to try & get
his signature on a C. L. form & give him a trial.
Plymouth Players Messrs J. Sharp & Secy. reported that Black did
not play & that they did not consider Leslie
of the standard required. Bowden was promising.
Robinson (Chilton) Mr. W. Laine gave a good report of this
outside left.
