Report re Players Secy. reported that this player had
Andrew's (S'land) played pretty well and the fee asked for this
player or Bartley was £4000.
White (Blackburn) Mr. J. Fare reported that this player had
asked for £7 per week, but it was decided to renew
previous offer of £6 per week & £8 per week if playing
in 1st League Matches or F.A. Cup Ties with £10 signing
on bonus.
Thomson (Dundee) Mr. J. Fare gave a very good report of
this left half back.
Crayston (Barrow) He also gave a poor report of this player.
Neilson (S. Shields) Mr. J. Elliott gave a good report of this
C. H. B.
Adams (Burnbank) Mr. J. Weir gave a moderate report of this
McAllister (New Milns) man & also sent a letter from the latter
player's father.
Hewitt (Cockfield) Secy. reported that this player had
signed a F. L. form for us.
Turnbull (Wallsend) Mr. W. Laine reported favorably of this
player.
A. Troup Letter read from this player reporting
progress. Decided to allow him to stay at
home for another fortnight.
K.O. v Leeds U. Letter read from club that they could
on Sept. 16th not agree to K. O. at 5.45. Secy. instructed to
write that we considered 6 o'c too late & further
that as we could not get back home on same
night, we would claim our hotel Exs. for night.
It was decided to send copy of correspondence
to League & ask for their opinion.
